SATURN MOVES INTO ARIES

Saturn moves into the sign of Aries

May 2025 to April 2028

The planet Saturn ingressed into the sign of Aries in May of this year! This begins a new chapter for all of us in some way. Saturn is a slower-moving planet and will usually spend on average a year or two in each sign. During this time period we may experience frustrations, restrictions, separation, or isolation in the areas of our chart that Saturn shows up during a given time period. Depending on where Saturn is in your chart, this is where you may experience some of these themes. Saturn isn’t all bad – Saturn also teaches us lessons, responsibility, consequence, and builds foundation. As long as you are okay with rules and structure – Saturn usually is very positive. If you struggle with authority, rules, and structure, Saturn may cause you more frustration than others.

Aries is the sign of impulse, fire, initiation, and aggression. Saturn is not altogether comfortable in the sign of Aries, in fact, it’s the sign of Saturn’s fall, what the ancients considered one of the poorest places for Saturn to be. Saturn is the planet of structure, discipline, reliability, and consequences; Saturn prefers signs that are similar to his own nature, more cold and astringent. Aries is hot and fiery. Saturn does not like to act on impulse and doesn’t like jumping headfirst into projects without considering the long run, but that’s exactly what happens when Saturn is in Aries. Saturn’s typical plans and well-laid blueprints are tossed around and plans get finished 20% of the time. Saturn in Aries can indicate rash decisions and projects, aggressive authority, sometimes this placement in the natal chart can bring about an anxiety or a feeling of never quite performing up to your own standards (these could be standards you’ve learned from someone else, or your own). Sometimes this placement can show the autocratic authority, the fearless leader that never waivers. Saturn in the sign of its fall can under or overreact. Generally a planet in its fall does just that.

During this next almost three year period, Saturn will be spending time in Aries. This can mean we may see leadership that embodies Arian themes (rashness, impulsivity, aggression, unwavering), We may see more focus on arms (as in weapons), weapon manufacturing, etc. Saturn and Aries both deal with machinery and weaponry. We may see leaders that do not want to lose their power, or are seeking more power. Saturn can represent properties, houses, as well as railroads, and Aries (as well as the rest of the fire signs) can of course represent fire. Property fires during this time period may be more common.

These overall or “mundane” astrological predictions, as they are called, are not the only thing we can look at. How Saturn responds during it’s traverse through the sign of Aries will change for each person, because each person’s chart is completely and totally different, however if you know you’re Ascendant or Rising Sign, you can generally get a feel for the area of life it may impact for you specifically. You can also absolutely read the following for your Sun sign – it may however, be less accurate.

♈︎ ARIES RISING ♈︎

If you have Aries rising in your birth chart, this means Aries is the first sign of your birth chart. Saturn will be slowly making his way through your first house. During this time period you may feel a little melancholy, down, or depressed – that wouldn’t be completely unfounded. If you’re feeling lonely, reach out and make sure you’re connecting with others. You may feel very serious during this time and buckle down. It may be a “growing up” period where you’re learning some lessons and beginning some foundations for the future. This could also be a period where you lose weight as well. Make sure you’re taking care of yourself during this time period and giving yourself the grace to feel what you feel. If you need to take time to be alone, take some time, but make sure you aren’t isolating yourself.

♉︎ TAURUS RISING ♉︎

If you have Taurus rising on the Ascendant in your birth chart, Saturn will be moving through your 12th House. In traditional astrology, the 12th house can be one of the more difficult topics, however it is the house that Saturn prefers being it’s house of joy. Saturn here can represent some themes of isolation, and much like the first house, it can sometimes represent some lonely, melancholy feelings. You may have some challenges in your life that involve topics of areas of life such as: incarceration, hospitalization, long-term illness or problems, hidden enemies or crime, and mental struggles or suffering. If you have a diagnosed mental illness, make sure to check in if you need it with your therapist. This can also be a good time however for spiritual foundation and connections to something bigger than yourself, giving and compassion.

♊︎ GEMINI RISING ♊︎

If you have Gemini Rising in your natal chart, this means Saturn will be moving through your 11th House during its transit through Aries. When Saturn travels through your 11th House you may feel struggles involving friends or acquaintances, you could see isolation or frustrations involving groups you are a part of, there could be oppression surrounding an activist group you are a part of or people that you represent. This can also represent delays and frustrations in your hopes & dreams and sometimes in payment from your career for one reason or another.

♋︎ CANCER RISING ♋︎

If you have Cancer in your birth chart rising over the horizon, you may experience added stress, isolation, frustration, or hardship surrounding career, public image, public status, work, and the mother. You could have to take on more responsibilities at work to keep things going well, or maybe you’re dealing with consequences for something at work that happened. You may have to deal with isolation themes in these areas of life as well. It would be the best idea to confront problems head on, but in a way where you try to minimize any impulsive or angry confrontations. Use your diplomacy and charisma to win people over, instead of trying to use the iron fist.

♌︎ LEO RISING ♌︎

If you have Leo rising over the horizon at the time of birth in your chart, Saturn will be transversing through your 9th House. You may experience frustrations and irritants when it comes to law, court, publishing, teaching, secondary education, religion, and philosophy. You may have challenges or struggles surrounding the court or a lawsuit of some sort, if this is true take caution that you are truly in the right – if you are not it would be wise to settle, lest you get the most intense punishment. If you are having difficulties in publishing or secondary education, make sure you do not overestimate your abilities and forget to take the discipline and focus you need to take home the good grades or to publish the book and get it done. You may also experience some kind of delay in this area as well.

♍︎ VIRGO RISING ♍︎

If you have Virgo Rising in your natal chart, Saturn will be moving through your 8th House. This is primarily the house of other people’s money, this can mean loans, debts, financing of any sort (including mortgages & credit cards). Typically when this is the case you may have restricted access to other people’s finances or stress and frustration due to these topics. Very rarely does the 8th house indicate death, mental suffering, and anxiety, in rare cases it can mean stress and frustrations surrounding these topics, however several time techniques would have to line up for that to be indicated or predicted. Typically Saturn in the 8th House involves finances owed. This is also the house that represents a spouse’s money if you are legally married to someone. If this is the case, it can sometimes indicate your spouse may have restricted income or finances at some point during this transit.

♎︎ LIBRA RISING ♎︎

If you have Libra as your Rising sign in your natal chart, you may have difficulty, stress, struggles, separations or isolation when it comes to romantic relationships, business partners, one-to-one connections, and where applicable, lawsuits. If you have a romantic partnership or a spouse, this could be a time that you are either rebuilding foundations, or you could go through some isolation from each other for one reason or another or even go through some kind of separation (this would be an extreme result/example). If you have a business partner there could be separation, isolation, or restriction in some way with a business partner. This area of the chart also represents open enemies and can indicate trouble with people who you know are against your best interest.

♏︎ SCORPIO RISING ♏︎

If you have Scorpio on the horizon point when you were born, this means Saturn will be moving through your 6th House which represents topics of health, routine, pets, and work we do for others (job), you could see difficulties in these areas of life, melancholy, stress, frustration, isolation, or separation in some way. This is a transit that can indicate trouble in health if you have any chronic illnesses especially this could be a flare up during this time, so if you do make sure to prepare yourself by being prepared in advance with medications or other solutions. This transit can also indicate stress involving daily routines or stress in general. Stress surrounding pets is also possible.

♐︎ SAGITTARIUS RISING ♐︎

If you have Sagittarius on the horizon point when you were born, this means Saturn will be moving through your 5th House, indicating you may have stresses, frustrations, separations, or struggles involving creativity, art, athletics, gambling, love, romance, and sex. This could mean you experience a time where you do not have many romantic prospects, or that things quiet down romantically. **If you are someone that gambles** it is strongly recommended you do not gamble during this time period. You may take larger losses and have to learn lessons surrounding these topics. If you are an artistic or athletic person (especially if you do either of these for a career) you may experience delays, setbacks, or frustrations in these areas during this time period.

♑︎ CAPRICORN RISING ♑︎

If you have Capricorn as your Ascending Sign in your natal chart, this means Saturn will be moving through your 4th House. This means you may experience themes of separation, frustration, suffering, and restriction when it comes to family, home, property & real estate, and paternity/the father. You could have a tense time with your father or a paternal figure if you have anyone like that in your life. It can also represent struggles and stresses at home and in the family unit. This probably would not be the best time-period to buy or sell real estate for you. This could be a time you experience feelings of stress, pain, frustration, or even possibly burden due to a family member or themes of family. Things may break down or need fixing in the home. Because Saturn is in a fire sign, be extra cautious of house fires.

♒︎ AQUARIUS RISING ♒︎

If you have Aquarius rising over the horizon when you were born, Saturn will be moving through your 3rd House, this house represents communication, how we think and respond, learning, childhood education, routines, neighbors, and siblings. When Saturn moves through this house these themes may experience frustration, isolation, separation, or upset involving those themes. You may experience issues surrounding communication with others as well as how you learn. There may be poor contentions between yourself and neighbors, and there could be turmoil with siblings as well. On the reverse, if used properly this could be a good time for study if you use Saturn’s discipline and focus to focus in on a project.

♓︎ PISCES RISING ♓︎

If Pisces is your Ascending Sign in your natal chart, you will experience Saturn in your 2nd House. The 2nd House in astrology represents our personal finances and movable property, some astrologers also say morals and values (I usually attribute morals and values to the 9th House personally). With Saturn here, you may experience restrictions in finance that cause frustrations and hardships. It would not be wise to make big investments or risky/impulsive investments during this time, you may end up suffering consequences because of them. If you can avoid big purchases all together during this time it would be strongly recommended, if it cannot be avoided then make sure that you can afford what you’re signing up to pay for, and that you understand everything you are signing completely. Financial lessons may be a part of this time period.
