What is Astrology?

Astrology isn’t scary, or ‘witchy’, or based in anything spiritual. Astrology is, more than anything else, math, science, and interpretation. Astrology is the location of the planets in our solar system at a given time and the interpretation of those planets by location and in relation to the other planets in the chart & their positions. Astrology can be used for multiple purposes such as better understanding yourself, your innate tendencies and personality, your strengths & weaknesses, predictions for the life for inner & outer circumstances, answers to direct questions, and setting times for important events, and many more things.

The root of all astrological techniques revert back to what is known as the ‘natal chart’ or the birth chart. The natal chart should be constructed for the ‘native’s first breath’ or the time and location of birth exactly (this is usually located on the long form birth certificate). The placements of the planets (and some asteroids, mathematical points, etc) tell a lot about the personality, and inner & outer circumstances in someone’s life and events that may occur, the natal chart can even show predispositions to certain health conditions.

Astrology of where the planets are currently in the sky & their relation to one another and what is currently going on for us here on Earth. There are certain things that affect us overall in a general way such as the infamous Mercury Retrograde. Knowing about these times in advance can help plan for things in life to avoid as much frustration and setbacks as possible.
