Uranus moves into the sign of Gemini

July 2025 to May 2033

Uranus has not been in the sign of Gemini since about 1941. This sign takes roughly ~84 years to make a full trip around the zodiacal ecliptic. Uranus is the planet of unexpected changes and upstarts. This doesn’t have to be something unpleasant, but often unexpected changes bring things to deal with we were not planning on and can sometimes bring frustrations and setbacks personally. The sign of Gemini deals with themes of communication primarily, data, new technology, but we may see new methods of communication moving forward in the future.
Past period of Uranus in Gemini brought the invention of the radio, early computers, and railroad growth & expansion (source = Wikipedia for time period information). During these time periods it is important to note that the Natal Chart for the United States of America has Gemini placed in the 7th House of open enemies and war, and since the founding of the USA, we have always seen an internal or external conflict during this time period. In 1774-1782 we had the American Revolution and the fight for our independence with the British. During the 1858-1866 time period, we had the American Civil War and the fight for the freedom of our own oppressed citizens. In 1941-1949 we had our involvement in WWII, a devastating worldwide conflict that impacted hundreds of thousand of lives. If history repeats itself, we may be facing another conflict of some sort (either internal or external). Because Gemini is associated so heavily with communication between parties and technology involved with making communication accessible to everyone, we may see further technology booms especially where technology and communication are involved.

Gemini is a mutable air sign and deals with adaptability, interaction, and forming connections with others. This gives Uranus even more unexpectedness and flexibility during this time period. Gemini can also represent communication in all it’s forms, including those that are harmful. Be mindful not to let gossip and anything that hasn’t been scientifically proven take over, don’t get caught up in conspiracies or false information & gossip just due to the climate.

During this time period, we may see big changes in the way we communicate with one another, as well as possibly new methods of communication in general. Technology is on the rise (this is especially true with Pluto in Aquarius trining Uranus), we are likely to see one of the biggest technology booms of the last several centuries in the coming years. This will be a time to behold, but also one to take caution in. Easier and more efficient is not always better, and sometimes giving up a human element for a detached element is not necessarily preferred.

During this time period, flexibility is key – keep yourself up for changes and understand big changes are on the horizon. If you are someone that finds change difficult, this could be a harder time period for you depending. Just try to keep yourself relaxed and go with the flow, you don’t have to have control of every circumstance in your life – in fact it’s impossible! Uranus will always deal with themes of the unexpected and sometimes unwanted changes, but going with the flow makes it as easy as it’s able to be.

Big changes are coming our way for communication, technology, getting around from one place to another (short travel), possibly cars, connections, and learning.

If you have Aries on your Ascendant when you were born, Uranus will be moving through your 3rd house which represents the area of your chart that has to do with siblings, neighbors, neighborhood, This can mean big changes and developments in this area of your life. Unexpected communications or moves may come up, maybe a new neighbor moves into your neighborhood and causes a stir, or a sibling is communicating things that are very unexpected. The next 6 years should be full of interesting communication and new ways to get around at the very least! This could also mean if you have a sibling, they may go through something unusual or changing as well.

♉︎ TAURUS ♉︎

If you have Taurus on the horizon when you were born, Uranus will be moving through your 2nd House, which represents personal finances and possessions. Get ready for a financial rollercoaster! If you are someone that is involved with day trading or the stock market, be mindful about big or risky investments during this time. You may go through big changes surrounding investments, property, finances, or income during this time period for one reason or another (full chart evaluation would be required for more answers to see other influences). This can mean fluctuations both positive and negative. Money could go both up and down during this time period unexpectedly. If you have the ability to build up a little nest egg in the coming months, this may be of benefit for you.

If you have Gemini rising in your birth chart, Uranus will be moving through your 1st House! Huge life changes are coming your way! The 1st House of your birth chart represents you and your personality, your appearance, and the way you interact with the world around you. You may drastically change your appearance during this time period, you may go through a lot of personal life changes with your self, your personality may shift and change due to new perceptions or experiences. Big changes could impact all areas of your life; your personal self, your career, your home life, and your relationships. It will be a big few years while things change in your life! Uranus is like a tornado, it comes through and blows things down, but sometimes it’s clearing out the old to rebuild something new and beautiful in its place.

♋︎ CANCER ♋︎

If you have Cancer Ascending in your birth chart, this means Uranus will be moving through your 12th House. This may mean you’ll have unexpected changes in the area of life that surrounds mental health & suffering, incarceration of all kinds, hospitalization, and anything secretive and hidden, including hidden enemies and those that do not wish you well. As you may imagine, having unexpected changes occur in these areas of life may not be altogether overly pleasant however, this will be a huge time of growth. This can also be a time of just unexpected delving into areas of the human psyche you haven’t before. With the changes that come, try to be flexible if you can. If you have Cancer rising in your birth chart it would be very wise not to commit any crimes during this time period, it would not be likely that you get out of things unscathed if you were caught.

♌︎ LEO ♌︎

If Leo is rising over the horizon when you were born, this will put Uranus transiting through your 11th House of friends, acquaintances, groups of people, and even themes of activism. There could be big changes in the lives of your friends, or the income from your profession or career, it can also mean a change in the types of people and the groups you’re hanging out with. This is a great time to explore the things you love, and also, to get to know someone or something new! To explore. Go to that social gathering you weren’t sure about, get to know a new group of friends, go to that peaceful protest! Go to the new writing club at your favorite coffee shop! You might be surprised how fulfilling it could be for you. If you’ve had any untrustworthy friends in your life, keep an eye on them during this time – be mindful not to be too trusting as unexpected things occurring with friends may not always be positive.

♍︎ VIRGO ♍︎

If Virgo is your rising sign, this will put Uranus traveling through your 10th House. With Virgo moving through your 10th House, you may experience significant changes and unexpected events surrounding profession, career, public image or status, and how you want to be seen, it can also represent the mother as well. Big changes in career may be coming your way. Maybe you head to a whole new career path you never saw yourself in, you may be changing positions, or even upgrading in general. It could also mean big changes surrounding your status (whatever that may mean for you), or your mother. The best thing you can do during this time period is be respectful, tactful, and always keep your morals in mind even if others don’t. Big changes do not have to be a bad thing, this can also be a positive change. Clearing out something old to usher in something new – or maybe just a big promotion you didn’t see coming!

If you have Libra as your Ascendant, Gemini will be transiting through your 9th House. You may have some unexpected changes or exciting new ventures in such areas of life as foreign travel, higher education, court of law, religion, philosophy, or psychology. You could take on secondary education, you could pursue justice for something or be involved in the court system for some reason. Big changes in these areas can be both a good thing or a bad thing depending on your chart (book a current events reading or a quick question reading if you are a returning client). It could mean unexpectedly getting back into school, or unexpectedly being involved in the court system somehow. This would not be a beneficial time to start a lawsuit of any kind. It could make things very “up and down”, tumultuous, and unpredictable.

If Scorpio was on the horizon as you were born, this puts Uranus moving through your 8th House. When Uranus moves through the 8th House, this can indicate big changes in primarily ‘other people’s finances’. This can mean a spouse, but keep in mind this also includes all forms of debt (mortgages, loans, credit cards). Typically when a planet transits the 8th House of a chart it impacts finances in some way, you may have to take out an unexpected loan or line of credit. You may have unexpected debt come up, or unexpected financial burden. Rarely this can indicate unexpected events involving death, transformations, as well as mental illness & anxiety. The most common way for this to manifest is still a somewhat unexpected financial burden coming about. Maybe your spouse suddenly has less income and you have to supply extra funds to keep the family afloat, or if you’ve been through a divorce, maybe you owe child support or alimony of some sort. It could be many things – but usually shows up financially.

♐︎ SAGITTARIUS ♐︎

If you have Sagittarius rising over the horizon when you were born, Uranus will be moving through your 7th House of relationships – both personal and business. You could experience unexpected changes in partnership, in business relationships, in marriages or in relations with the public. If you are in a relationship there could be unexpected changes within that relationship – sometimes if you are in a relationship this can mean separation – however only in rare circumstances. Maybe your marriage or relationship goes through a period of adjustment or changes, or something happens where changes have to be made. If you are not in a relationship a new one could start unexpectedly or a new romantic interest could come about. This could also involve an unusual or unexpected connection with the public in general or a business partner.

♑︎ CAPRICORN ♑︎

If Capricorn is your Ascendant, Uranus will be moving through your 6th House. This could indicate big and unexpected changes in health, routine, work you do for others (job), co-workers & employees, and pets. If you have a job that you work under someone else, you may experience big changes in this area of life, maybe you quit one job and get another. There could be unexpected developments in body & health that require adjustments and re-working. If you get injured at this time it is very important you do not push yourself to prevent further injuries. If you do have unexpected changes in health, take them seriously and involve a licensed professional.

♒︎ AQUARIUS ♒︎

If Aquarius is rising in your birth chart, this will put Uranus moving through your 5th House. The 5th House in your birth chart represents children, sex, sexuality, romance, pleasure, gambling, athletics, and politics. If you have children, there could be very unexpected changes surrounding children, or your child goes through something tumultuous and unexpected. If you do not have children, and other chart factors also agree (consider consulting an astrologer 😉) you could become pregnant if you do not take measures to prevent it. If you do not want pregnancy you could change your mind about having children, or adopt a child. If you do not have children or plan to this could be a time where changes develop in your romantic, sexual, or love life. These can be big unexpected changes that you did not foresee coming. Due to Uranus having a tendency toward being more malefic (difficult to work with), it would be advised against gambling at this time if at all possible. This would not be a great time to risk money or leave things up to chance – especially sports betting.

♓︎ PISCES ♓︎

If you have Pisces as your Ascending sign in your birth chart, Uranus will be moving through your 4th House of home, family, parents (especially the father), paternity, home, property, and real estate. This could be a time of lots of big, unexpected changes of your living situation. You may move once, or more than once. You may relocate property (properties), or have unexpected changes in your family and/or living situation. During this time period as discussed previously in the post, it would serve you well to be as flexible and adaptable as possible. The more flexible you are, the easier this time period will be. Uprooting your home and family can be a stressful process, give yourself grace during this time period. Big changes around the father or parents can also occur during this time period.
